What kind of God would you be?
Imagine that you could, somehow, become an Almighty God in your own right, with an entire universe under your control. What kind of God would you be?

i would be a humble one , looking around me to see what is working and im not sure if i would want people or things to worship me
But, Farroll, towards whom would you be humble? Humility is an attitude expressed towards someone else, is it not?
I would be pretty much like this one - not bother my fat goddy arse to protect innocent people in the paths of hurricanes or at the epicentres of *my* earthquakes, while demanding that people believe a pile of horseshit about me turning myself into a human and killing myself and rising from the dead completely unverifiably on the back of some crappy contradictory accounts, or I'll send them to a fiery torture chamber for eternity. That's what people want in a god, yes? ;-)
Well, Shane, would you be the same kind of God that you find so objectionable? Nothing would bind you to be one way or another, as you would be totally in the driving seat and could be whatever you wished to be. Perhaps you would be the kind of God that you described because you thought that any human beings within the universe under your control would want a God that behaved like that.
Or maybe I was lying :-)
Lying? I would be very surprised if a God lied.
But, actually, why not? A God would be able to do just about anything, and if He or She decided to be a Lying God - somewhere along the lines of many of the Greek pantheon - that would define His or Her world.
An inordinate fondness for beetles.
